Situated at the heart of Malappuram city, Kottakkunnu park is a hill range garden cum park that has many amenities to make people of any age, be it kids or elders, joyous. The place Kottakkunnu, which got its name because the place hosted the first fort built by the Zamorins in Kerala, is no longer a historic place, rather it has now become an entertainment-based location, which is further going to be expanded by the Government. The park, which is frequented by domestic and international tourists, is located at the top of Cantonment Hill, not far from the District Collectorate. The park boasts many rides like an Open Air Theatre, a water theme park, Balloon Park, 16D Cinema, Kids traffic park, Adventure Park, and a Kids traffic park, along with the Lalitha Kala Academy Art gallery.
