Chimmini (Chimmony) Wildlife Sanctuary

Chimmini (Chimmony) Wildlife Sanctuary is a scenic sanctuary destination in the Mukundapuram Taluk of Thrissur that is ideal for a weekend trip. With the dense canopy that surrounds it, the place looks like a gorgeous art piece set in the midst of forests in the aerial view. A scenic dam, an artificial lake beside it, extravagant flora and fauna, boating facilities, along with the trekking and rafting programs are what constitutes the excitement of being here at Chimmony sanctuary. The sanctuary shares its borders with the Peechi-Vazhani Wildlife Sanctuary as well as the Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary. The highest peak here is the Punda peak that is 1116m high.
