History
A dynamic lady school teacher in the Andaman & Nicobar archipelago who used to pick up pieces of driftwood deposited by the sea on the shores is the mastermind behind this awe-inspiring museum. She often collected driftwood that comprised of twisted tree trunks, stumps, roots, etc. She knew that these had the possibility of modification into sculptures with minimal effort.
Having endured vast distances in the sea, a tree’s toughest part is what remains and gets deposited on the shores. She used to cleanse those picked-up pieces and remove crumbled parts, and then transform those into the shape she imagines.
