Illikal Kallu is a major tourist attraction spot in Kottayam district of Kerala (India). Situated about 4000 feet above sea level, it is also one of the highest peak in the Western ghats.
Illikal Kallu is a rock situated above Illikal Mala. The thing that makes this rock unique is that half of the rock has fallen off, and only the other half remains. The nearest city is Teekoy.
The main attraction of Illukkal stone is the 3 rock formations. The tallest rock in the area is known as the Koodakallu and the nearest one look like sarpam snake. This rock is known as the Koonan Kallu.
You can also reach here via the Pala-Eratupetta-Thikkoi road and Pala-Panakkapalam. Do not be afraid of getting lost as there is a sign board along the way.
