Chembra Kodumudi
Best known for its heart-shaped that never got dried up, Chembra is a brilliant destination for trekkers. This peak is also called “Chembra Kodumudi” and is the highest peak in Wayanad. The green hill, rich in biodiversity and scenic attractions, has different frames of beauty which are dreams of many photographers. Situated near Meppady town, the peak has waterfalls also to give one an enchanting feel of the wild.
Speaking of the 4km trekking in this area, one needs to obtain permission from the tourist office before climbing the hills. Guided and non-guided- both kinds of trekking packages are available here. Hridayasarassu is the first major stop-over on the trekking path after passing through the luxuriant plantations seen on the slopes.
Visiting Hours:
Trekking is allowed here only from 7 AM to 2 PM only. After this time, nobody can start trek here.
