Dhoni Water Falls
Dhoni is a nature lover’s paradise where the gorgeous waterfalls are seen cascading as if dancing according to the rhythm of the wild. An ideal place to witness nature’s beauty, it is a full package of a wild and trekking trip. Like a diamond hidden in the wild, the place glories in divine charm and lush green landscapes. Even though the place requires a light trek to reach the waterfalls- which is worth it because a scenic wonder is awaiting at the top and it gets crowded despite the strict timings allowed for tourism here. The forest area, which is home to rich flora and fauna, is filled with plantations also, which adds to its beauty. The roaming elephants, tigers, deers, and other inhabitants, wildflowers, rare woods, etc are what will awaken the photographer in every visitor.
The trek to Dhoni waterfalls will consume one’s 3-4 hours of walking on a natural walkaway that begins from teak plantations situated at the foot of the hills. With no private vehicles allowed on this way, the team of visitors is told about the keen details about the region by the experienced guide/guides. An adrenaline rush can be sensed in the trekker’s veins once they start walking. The isolated, dense canopy with its serious music and sound of animals are going to boost it. Dhoni also has two other scenic wonders in the nearby area- namely the Malampuzha and Meenvallam waterfalls. Walking down to these incredible destinations will require one to obtain permission from the District Forest Officer.
