The famous Echo Point- with its natural echo phenomena- is located about 15 km from Munnar. People often take a stroll in the lush greenery surrounding the place which is at an altitude of about 600 feet. The road linking Munnar to Kodaikanal passes through Echo Point on the way to Top Station, the highest point in Munnar (1700m). And interestingly most people who travel to the top station stop by to enjoy this echo phenomenon and hang out for some time. Here the clouds seem to be just a hand’s length away and one can view the amazingly beautiful view of the valley below. This is also a prime viewing spot for the Neelakkurinji flower which blooms once every twelve years.
