Hill Palace Museum
Ranked as the first Heritage Museum of Kerala, this full-blown Ethno-Archaeological Museum is like a tourism treasure in the land of Kochi. Situated 10km away from Kochi town, this enormous palace complex has 49 buildings associated with it. Once resided by the rulers of Kochi, this palace is iconic to Kerala’s model architecture. This museum houses many belongings of the royal family in addition to many murals and paintings. Known for its massive Keralite architectural model, it is one of the biggest palaces that the erstwhile rulers of the state used to reside in. This museum was once the official residence of the erstwhile rulers of Kochi. And it is believed to have been built in 1865. A children’s park also is there in this compound. Perhaps this is one of the best places in the country to see the remains of civilizations like the Indus Valley and Harappa.
