Kottayi Village

Everyone related to Carnatic music would have heard of Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar- who was a veteran in Carnatic music. And Kottayi village was blessed enough to be the birthplace of this great artist. The village now hosts the famous Chembai Parthasarathy Ekadasi Music festival. This concert in which many renowned singers participate is a serene one held every year in fond memory of Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar.
