An adventurous off-route trek to the top of Meenmutty Falls is what glorifies this tourist destination. Although barely crowded, this waterfall garnishes a key position on the tourist map of Kerala. A boat ride through its catchment area is necessary to reach the destination from Neyyar dam. At the KombaiKani tribal settlement, the trek continues towards the Meenmutty waterfalls, which are about 5 km away from there. This waterfall is situated along the Neyyar River.
For trekkers, the forest camp house provides food and a place to rest. For this trek, which requires permission from the forest department, forest guides will accompany you. Towards evening, the boat picks visitors from KombaiKani and drops off at the Neyyar dam.
