From a height of 300 feet, Palaruvi Waterfalls, meaning ‘Stream of Milk’, cascade through rocks. It is believed that the water in Palaruvi Falls has ayurvedic healing properties. This medicinal property is assumed to have derived from the ways the stream meanders through some natural herbal groves further upstream. Bathing in the waterfall’s waters will provide visitors with the benefit of these ayurvedic properties. This area has become a recreational picnic spot where one can observe a spectacular view of nature. A gender-separated bathing area of the stream is available in addition to changing rooms. Tourists, adventure seekers, photographers flock here. The cool water is frequently used by those seeking a refreshing dip and attracts large crowds every year. Even though one must traverse rocky terrain to attain it, the moment one sees these magnificent waterfalls, all laziness will be wiped away. To enjoy fully, a one-hour visit is highly recommended. A stay at the KTDC bungalow or the PWD Inspection Bungalow can be very rewarding and soothing.
