More than just a village, Pallippuram can be thought of as a facsimile of God’s own country, Kerala. It lies on the western tip of the Palakkad district and is served by the water from Vembanad Lake and Chenganda River. The residents of this small green village are blessed with the beautiful sight of the merging of these rivers as well. Located close to the Paruthur Gramapanchayat, this village is unique in the white soil that is caused by the high levels of silica content. It is therefore used in glass and cement manufacture. The place is also marked by the ancient Pallipuram Church.
