Kerala’s rich culture and tradition are incomplete without the instruments like Chenda, Maddalam, Idakka, Mridangam, etc. And witnessing the artisans making it with sheer love and mastery is mesmerizing to look at. The Kadayanmar- artisans belonging to the Kadayan community- are the major ones preserving this ancient craft here.
