The northern tip of Kerala is home to Ranipuram, a famous tourist destination wrapped in dense greenlands. Situated in Kasaragod at 750 m above sea level, it is located in the middle of the mountains and has an adorable landscape. This makes an ideal picnic location where one can also find an occasional herd of elephants. It was formerly known as Madathumala and is bordered by Karnataka. It boasts some of the most pleasant trekking trails in the region. On this route, there are regular buses and Jeep rides are also very popular. The evergreen shola woods, monsoon forests, and grasslands make it a good place to relax and take a break from the stresses of daily life.
