Thikkoti Lighthouse, situated in the scenic village of Thikkoti- 30km away from Calicut city is a picturesque rocky formation on the shores of the Arabian sea. From the top of the rocky cliffs, here is a breathtaking view of the lighthouse accompanied by the sounds of waves hitting the rocks and creating foam. The outcropping gets even more fascinating when the migrant birds flock here during the season. Believed to have been built in 1847, the tower requires permission from authorities to enter inside and climb those winding stairs.
