Thiruvallam Backwater
Thiruvallam Backwater is a scenic stretch of backwaters en route to Kovalam that is a popular spot for water-based activities, such as canoeing, kayaking, or enjoying cruises through the Kettuvalloms. Moreover, the boat club here offers excursions to nearby islands such as Pozhikara and Edayar, as well as tours of the coir factories.
One of the main attractions nearby is the famous temple of Sage Parashurama. Also known for its lush palm trees and huts, Veli village- the one not so far from this plaid backwater- is home to a famous blue lagoon. Visitors to the village can enjoy sweet coconut drinks here.
