Vallikkunnu is a village in Tirurangadi of Malappuram, which once was a part of the major trade center Tyndis, identified as the nearby place Kadalundy, that connected Kerala with the foreign countries in the era of King Solomon. The village also draws visitors for the oldest Railway Line boasted here which lies between Tirur and Kadalundi via Chaliyam, Tanur, and Parappanangadi. Set on the banks of the Kadalundi River, the village is home to a famous Kadalundi-Vallikkunnu Community Reserve in its vicinity. Additionally, the Kadalundi Nagaram beach offers a wonderful view of the Kadalundi River emptying into the Arabian Sea.
