Meenvallam Waterfalls is a secret tourism wonder of Palakkad situated deep inside a dense forest in Thuppunad. The waterfall, steep in nature’s gorgeous beauty, cascades into the Thuppanadu River which fetches its origins in the Kalladikodan Hills, and ultimately confluences with the Bharathapuzha river. The sight of the waterfall cascading down the boulders from a height of about 45 meters, is rejuvenating as well as a scenic destination that reminds one about the enchanting nature’s philosophies. Not far from here is the active small hydro project that is enabled with an initial capacity of 3 megawatts and is worth a visit. This area, along with the waterfalls is under the conservation of Thudikkode Vana Samrakshana Samithi of Olavakkode Range which is part of the Palakkad Forest Division. Located just 26 km away from Mannarkkad, the spot is an easily accessible place.
