Devikulam Hills

In the name Devikulam, the words Devi, from the mythical goddess Devi, and kulam, from the word pond, are combined. The fabulous picnic spot of Devikulam lies 8 kilometers from Munnar. The site is known for its velvet lawns and extensive collection of exotic plants and animals. Visitors flock to Sita Devi Lake- the one in which the goddess Sita is believed to have once bathed- throughout the year. The water in this lake is believed to be abundant in minerals making it hold therapeutic features.
